Book Swap

Last week I had a book swap for the english ladies.  It is not easy to find english books here although some of the book shops do have a small range like Gianotten in the centre of Tilburg and there is the local library which also has a small section.  Another option is an online store called Bol.com...the dutch equivalent of Amazon.  I love browsing in a book store especially for kids books and this is one thing I really miss.  I can remember fabulous days spent in Books Etc. in London browsing and drinking Starbuck coffee.  Those were defintely the days...pre-kids of course.  Now I go into a beautiful bookstore like Gianotten and feel so frustrated that all those lovely books are not for me.  Occasionally I do buy dutch books, but it is just not the same.

So after all that jibber jabber, I had a book swap, scored lots of lovely english books, but forget about the books...we had cheesecake!
